I guess it would do what it is supposed to do -if you are a giant with massive hands. They are WAY too big for a women's hands. You can't really grab onto anything safely; making it worse is that the material is too hard and unbendable anyway. Hence, they are not safe to use and worthless.

Great for very hot ovens and they protect your arms also.

I have gotten so many oven mitts over the last few years, and they don't last long. This set is going to last me a long time. The fabric is thick, but not so thick that it's hard to move my hands. I need to be able to grab the lip of my pans and cookie sheets, and these allow me to do that, while protecting my hands from getting burned. I would totally get another pair of these if needed.

These are an excellent fit for large hands. I wear size 8.5 gloves, and many oven mitts are not comfortable to use. These are excellent - great fit and protection.

These mitts are well made, sturdy with nice stitching. My partner loves using them. I have pretty big hands, but still fit in them with enough dexterity to do regular oven type tasks. The nonslip is a plus, as well as the longer cuff. I have less fear of touching something hot than I do with the shorter mitts or the square pads you just slip your fingers into.
