Drys faster and softer

I've always been interested in wool dryer balls. These are 100% wool. They don't appear shed any fibers in the dryer with other items which is something I was worried could happen. They do seem to help dry faster and softer with less wrinkles and static. I don't notice any extra noise vs not including them so that's nice of your dryer is near. They appear to be well made and durable, I expect they'll last a very long time as long as I can keep them away from my cats (they would also make excellent cat toys too). Overall, I am impressed, these appear highly functional and in theory could save money in the long run with shorter drying times and my cat appears to agree.

A little small but nice quality

I was initially surprised by how much smaller these Farberware dryer balls are compared to other brands I've used, but they absolutely get the job done! Don't let the size fool you - they still effectively reduce drying time and soften my laundry beautifully.I use all 4 balls together for regular loads, and they tumble around nicely, separating clothes and cutting down on static. My towels come out soft and fluffy without any chemical fabric softeners, which is exactly what I wanted. The 100% wool is high quality and they seem very durable. The smaller size actually makes them easier to store, and they still make a noticeable difference in my dryer's efficiency. I've been using them for several weeks now on everything from bedding to delicates, and I'm really happy with the results.Great value for a 4-pack, and I love that they're a natural, reusable alternative to dryer sheets. If you're eco-conscious and want to ditch the chemicals for smell free no static results, these are perfect. Highly recommend!

My laundry dries even faster and feels super soft, in an eco-friendly way

This 4 pack of wool dryer balls is such an upgrade from my old plastic pair that recently completely disintegrated. I will never go back to plastic! The balls are quite large and dense while still feeling light, and fuzzy.Neither the fuzz nor the colour (I chose grey) has any effect on the laundry; no colour leaching or fuzz transfer, I did not even see any lint from the balls in the lint trap, although the balls did increase in fuzziness after one use. I figure they will loosen up a little over time, but it will probably take a very very long time, especially considering I do not use my dryer super frequently. The balls held up very well after one trip in the dryer, so I have great confidence in their longevity. As long as they maintain a little bit of structural integrity, their efficacy will not be compromised.I used all 4 in my dryer, but I could have just used 2, either way.I like that they come with a nice little zip up pouch for storage, but I will most likely just leave them in my dryer, since it will not hurt them, or my dryer, and that will be one less thing I have to remember to do before turning the dryer on.One of the best things about these dryer balls is that even though they are tossing and bouncing inside the dryer drum, I can hardly hear them! There is naturally a little extra thumping, but it is so much less than what I used to experience with the plastic dryer balls! These would be great for people who happen to have their laundry machines on the main living level.I believe the balls worked so well that they did help decrease the drying speed, by about 10-20 minutes, though it is always a bit hard to estimate. My clothes certainly came out feeling lovely and soft though! The balls did not alter the smell of the laundry on their own, but I did think it was a neat idea that I could add a few drops of an essential oil to the balls to give the laundry a little scent boost. These dryer balls are so much nicer than disposable dryer sheets, especially if you have sensitive skin or are sensitive to artificially fragranced things, or just want to have more control over what your laundry smells like. They are quite a great value considering how much I will save not needing to buy dryer sheets or extra fabric softener, I highly recommend!

These are pretty cool

I've always wanted to try out dryer balls. I wasn't sure exactly what to do with them, so I did a little online research. I learned you should use 3 to 6 balls per load, the bigger the load the more balls you use. This information was consistent across pretty much everything I read. This set comes with 4 balls, I kind of wish it was a set of 6, because now I feel like I need at least 2 more for optimal results. Another thing I learned is you can add a few drops of essential oil to these to get a nice natural scent. I love that tip.I decided to just use 4 balls with every load since that is what I have for now. I noticed that when I was drying sheets they didn't get tangled up with other things in the load. Usually they get super tangled, so this was great. Drying time does seem a bit shorter. Not a crazy amount, but definitely something noticeable. I live in FL, where the humidity is always an issue, which causes longer drying times. I really like these because I feel like it really helps absorb some extra moisture. An added and unexpected bonus is that this seems to help with pet hair. I have cats and their hair is always an issue. My clothes definitely feel a bit softer too.I wonder how long these will last. I read different things, most said 2 to 5 years, but many sources quoted 1000 washes. I did read to help give them more life you can throw them in the washer, or use a sweater shaver to get loose lint off.I think these are a pretty good buy, $14.99 for 4 dryer balls is a decent value, especially for a reputable brand name. I only wish these came in a 6 pack or larger.

wishing I'd tried these sooner

Dryer balls are something I've always wanted to try. The smell of regular dryer sheets gives me a screaming headache, so I usually use fragrance-free dryer sheets or sometimes crumpled-up balls of aluminum foil when I dry my clothes. The aluminum foil kills the static but does nothing to soften clothes, and it's a pain to later fish them all out of my laundry. Little did I know four big wool balls would change my life! Not knowing why there were four to a set or what to do with them, I went to the Internet and learned (from Martha Stewart, no less) that you need to use all four balls together in the dryer to get the job done. Unable to wear wool clothing without itching, I was hesitant, but I finally took the plunge. The results were impressive: static-free and soft clothes and towels and, thankfully, no itch from exposing fabrics to the wool balls. The balls come neatly packaged in a reusable zippered storage bag: clear plastic on the front and what looks like a cotton cloth on the back, which presumably will allow air to pass through to let any remaining moisture escape that the balls may have taken on from your clothes. The balls are supposed to be 100% wool, but I'd read that some wool balls have a rubber core, like a tennis ball. I couldn't resist and dropped one on the floor, where it landed with a thud. I'll save you the trouble and say that they do NOT bounce. They do move around nicely in the dryer, though, and I'm definitely pleased with the results.

Faster Drying Time

This Farberware Wall Dryer Ball Pack helps in getting my clothes to dry faster and it definitely helped with wrinkles. I recommend using all 4 balls if you have a large dryer.I did take one star off because it didn't really help with the static.

Keeps static down

They work quite nicely at reducing static if you're taking out clothes soon after drying them. If you leave clothes alone for a few hours the static dissipates though. The main effect seems to be lowering the drying team and I have noticed the dryer ending a few minutes earlier. However, if you have big loads, the balls dont really seem to have much effect.

Great dryer balls!

The wool dryer balls are well-made and do not leave clothes with fuzz balls after using them. They are a great option for people who are looking for more of an environmentally friendly support in drying their clothes. The balls are a little smaller than I thought they'd be but they are good quality. Unlike other balls I've used in the past they don't have any pilling or loose threads on them after two months of use. I'd definitely buy them again. I never even knew Farberware made dryer balls before - I'm glad I found out they do.

Eco-Friendly, Effective, and a Game Changer for Laundry!

I’m so glad I decided to try the Farberware Wool Dryer Balls 4 Pack. These have completely changed the way I do laundry! They’re made from 100% wool and are a fantastic natural alternative to dryer sheets and liquid fabric softeners, which I have used my entire life, so this was a new adventure trying out dryer balls.First, they really do help reduce drying time. My towels and bedding come out fluffy, soft, and dry faster than before. I’ve also noticed much less static in everyday loads. I love that there’s no heavy fragrance or chemical residue left behind—just clean, fresh laundry. Also, not having to sort through your dried laundry to try and find that dryer sheet that is attached to a piece of clothes is quite nice.Another big plus is that they’re reusable and long-lasting, which saves money over time and cuts down on waste. It feels good knowing I’m making a more eco-friendly choice for my household.Overall, these dryer balls are simple, effective, and well worth the purchase. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a natural, reusable laundry solution!

Helps with Wrinkling and Cuts Down on Drying Time

Great quality, well-made, and helps with wrinkling and cutting down on drying time. Works well. The most annoying thing is that one or more of the dryer balls always pop out of the drying when getting the dried clothes so you're picking them up off the floor.

Natural, Reusable & a Smart Alternative to Dryer Sheets

I grabbed these as an alternative to traditional dryer sheets because I wanted fewer chemicals in my laundry, and I’ve been very pleased with them. They work surprisingly well and really do help reduce drying time, which is a nice bonus. My clothes come out soft and dry, but without that artificial coating or heavy scent you get from regular dryer sheets. Everything just feels cleaner and more natural. The quality of the wool balls is very good. They feel dense, well made, and durable, so I can tell they’re going to last a long time. I love that they’re reusable instead of throwing something away after every load, you just toss these back into the dryer again, which saves money and reduces waste. I haven't noticed any added noise with using these. For the price, this set is a great deal, especially considering how much you’ll save over time by not buying disposable dryer sheets. If you’re looking to cut down on chemicals, reduce drying time, and save money in the long run, I would definitely recommend these

Great alternative to chemical filled softener sheets!

🌟 Overview / First ImpressionsI bought these Farberware wool dryer balls as a natural alternative to fabric softener sheets, which I don’t use. Overall, my experience with them has been a bit mixed.💕 Quality & PerformanceThey work well with small loads, helping clothes dry a little faster and keeping fabrics soft, especially for delicate items. I was hoping they would also help prevent sheets from balling up in larger loads, but that wasn’t the case. While they’re not advertised to solve that problem, I was still a little bummed. That said, for everyday laundry and lighter loads, they do exactly what they’re supposed to do and are a nice, chemical-free option.💰 Value & ExperienceFor the price, they’re a solid alternative to disposable dryer sheets. They’re reusable, natural, and easy to toss in with your laundry - especially if you’re washing delicates or smaller loads.💭 Recommendation & Final ThoughtsOverall, I’d give them a 4 out of 5⭐️. Helpful for small loads and delicate items, but don’t expect them to prevent large items like sheets from bunching up. A good option if you want to skip fabric softeners and keep things simple. 🧺✨

Good dryer balls

Review for: Farberware Wool Dryer Balls 4 Pack – Reusable 100% Wool Balls for DryerI love dryer balls, they always seem to keep the larger items from tangling and getting twisted up. These are good standard dryer balls. The one problem I have with them is when they get caught in larger items and fall out when I take things out of the dryer and I have to chase them down on the floor.I like the pink but honestly, they is not very pink. Oh well. They will probably last forever. I use vinegar as a fabric softener and with the dryer balls I have never had any issues with static or softness.I will add a couple of these to my current two balls and see if that makes things any better. They are a low effort and low impact way to make doing the laundry a little easier. As a Vine reviewer I try to provide good information. My scale:Most things will start at 4 stars. It gets that extra star only if it is outstanding. It loses stars for issues- bad sizing, poor quality. One star if is is not suitable for purpose or for gross misrepresentation.
